Below is some information I thought you might want to know (if you didn't).
If you know your child(ren) are going to be absent, send a note to school with them stating what day(s) they are going to be absent and why. The student is then given a pre-absence form to have signed by teacher(s) and the form comes back to the office for processing. If you have any questions contact our Attendance Secretary, Trish Moss (all absences are counted whether excused or unexcused). Using this forms just give everyone notice that the student will be absent that day.
School Visitors (family, friends, guests)
Please make sure you santize your hands, complete your attestation form, and put on a mask before you enter the building. Once you enter the building, please proceed directly to the district/school office. We will call to the office the person you would like to speak to or visit with. Thank you for your cooperation during these COVID times.
I do my best to keep our website up to date. I personally update the announcements on the home page and events on the calendar. There are many school forms on our website. If you don’t see a form you need to print, give me a call and I’d be happy to post it on our site. Also, check out our calendar on the website to see what is happening (updated daily). Thank you for taking the time to do so!
You have access to this information, if you have a computer and internet. If you don't have internet, you can come to the school to use one of our computers. You can make sure that we have correct contact information for your child(ren), as well as checking on their classroom grades. (Grading information available for Grades K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12). I have access to your log on/password information, in case you forget it, change it, or can't remember it! I would be happy to help you out!!
Staff E Mail
Every Columbia Staff person has an email. Typically it's the first initial of their first name, followed by their full last name, followed by @columbia206.net Most of us check our email at least a couple of times a day. This is a great way to communicate with staff.
Give it a try. Or you can always use the old-fashioned way.....call me and I will get them the message!
Students’ personal items from home
We encourage you as the parent, and your child, to not bring expensive items to school, such as laptops, tablets, jewelry, etc, (you get the idea!) We find that too many times these items either get lost, broken or come up missing. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.
Lost & Found
Our lost and found is located on the stage in the multi-purpose room. I am always amazed at the volume of clothing, shoes, belts, etc. that end up there. Feel free to drop in and take a look if your child is missing a coat or a pair of shoes (it’s a good idea to put their name inside shoes and on clothes.)
