Child Care Resources and Referrals

Child Care Aware of Washington’s Family Center. Families looking for child care in Washington State may call our free referral service to receive information on finding a high quality licensed child care provider in their area.  We can also help them determine if they are eligible for financial assistance to pay for care. We hope you will share this resource with your program staff and families in your community.

Families needing a list of referrals to licensed child care may call us at 1-800-446-1114 between 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

I also want to inform you that families experiencing homelessness may have special resources available to help them pay for child care. On July 3, 2017 Working Connections implemented a homeless grace period (HGP) of 120 days to families experiencing homelessness. Homelessness and income verification are the only eligibility criteria to obtain a full-time child care subsidy for 120 days.  If you know of a family experiencing homelessness that needs support accessing child care, you may have them call 1-800-446-1114.

Please keep us in mind for in-person resource sharing events you may be aware of to connect with families directly.

If you have any questions or would like printed copies of any of the attached flyers, please let me know.  We have materials available in many additional languages —Russian, Vietnamese, Somali, Chinese, and Spanish.
